At Vall d’Hebron we are committed to humanising care, placing children and their families at the core. We offer integrated care, treating the physical aspects of the illness alongside the psychological and social repercussions. This is why our younger patients have access to toys, play areas and a host of activities that promote wellbeing.

Vall d'Hebron University Hospital has signed an agreement with the Maria Canals Foundation and the Paliaclínic Foundation to install a piano in the main entrance for all those who want to play it: patients, visitors and staff.     

Vall d’Hebron Neonatology Department has undergone significant changes during its existence. Dr. Salvador Salcedo and Dr. Fèlix Castillo, who led the process, explain how the Department grew until it came to be a hospital within a hospital.
